For the 6th time Le Grand Palais in Paris is hosting “Saut Hermès“, an international 5-star (CSI5*) show jumping competition, which take place on 10-11-12 April 2015. A truly unique event organised by luxury brand Hermès with the world’s top riders. Let me take you on a journey of style and topsport.
Such an impressive venue!
This beautiful sculpure of “Pegasus” created by Christian Renonciat is the guardian angel of the riders and horses this weekend. The details of the wings are just stunning and remind me of the Victoria Secret wings.
The equestrian collection of Hermès is extraordinary quality and looks so classy on your horse. Time to shop? If you want to know more about where to buy this tack, go check out our blogpost of last year. (click)
Looking for a matching scarf or ear bonnets in these lovely summer colors?
Don’t leave yourself in these fashion items, we need to jump some fences…
If you can’t make it to the show, go to www.sauthermes.com and follow all the action live! Live broadcast of all the classes and results.
2013 was the year the French fashion empire Chanel launched a few equestrian accessoires and although our love for Chanel is infinite, the branded wips and helmets cannot tempt us.
But did you know there’s also a saddler and luxury-leather goods maker called Chanel? French designer and restorer Guy Chanel gained his experience at the Hermès house in Paris and opened his own atelier in 1989. There is no connection with the dubble CC brand, but you can see the fashion influences in his creations. We love this chestnut alligator jumping saddle!
The dressage saddle represents pure craftmanship, elegance and luxury with materials like smooth cowhide, slate ostrich skin and skate-fish skin.
The hand-made saddles and leather goods are on individual order. If you are looking for something special, let your imagination guide you and plan a visit to Guy Chanel’s atelier.

Where French chic meets American style.
Ralph Lauren’s eponymous restaurant Ralph’s created a lot of buzz when it opened 4 years ago in one of the most beautiful streets in Paris: Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
The 17th-century townhouse now hosts a Ralph Lauren store and its restaurant behind.
The cozy bar and the private room are very elegant and ideal for spending a few tranquil moments.
The staff is very friendly and has that American touch, white shirts – blue striped pants.
The perfect hotspot for an American inspired lunch or diner in an exclusive setting.
Even the toilets are in style 🙂
The Longines Global Champions Tour is the World’s premier five-star show jumping event with the most stunning venues.
This weekend (4-5-6 July 2014), we are in France to attend the fabulous debut show “Paris Eiffel Jumping” held at the Champs de Mars, in front of the Eiffel Tower.
This amazing view makes your ride even more special, so jump into victory!
If you are in for some trendy hot spot in Paris, you definitely have to check out the Kong Bar by Kenzo.
The “so-trendy-it-hurts” bar and restaurant on the top two floors of the LVMH building above the Kenzo store was decorated by bad boy designer Philippe Starck.
The east-Asian inspired kitschy plastic interior is worth staring, the crowd gives you that New York feeling, and the amazing view of the Seine does realize you, you are in the center of Paris.
The cocktails and the food are delicious, but prices are as high as the top of the roof.
If you want to be part of the hipster –model-rockstar-miljonair– crowd, just take the elevator to the 5th floor in the Pont Neuf Building and enjoy!
